About me

I'm Candice (she/her) - I am a counsellor, art therapist,

forever student, and fellow human being. I became aware of my calling to help others at a young age due to my own struggles with my internal and external worlds. It didn't matter if I was in a room full of people.. I always felt alone, and that feeling of aloneness deepened my pain into suffering. I remember thinking to myself: I want to help others so they don't feel so alone with their pain. I want to be the person that I have always needed and never had. I wanted to be a light that would help those in darkness find their way out.

My desire to help others became my guiding light and the reason I am still here today. I have passionately worked towards this calling and have been formally studying the field of psychology and "helping fields" for 8+ years. Although my time in traditional schooling is over, I continue my learning through inspiring trainings, books, podcasts, online research, and deep conversations with those around me.

While on my journey to help others my personal life has been devoted to learning, un-learning, and growing. It is truly my deepest passion and I am so excited to hold space while you engage in your own self-discovery process. I have personal experience of the tough but beautiful cycle of healing - and I'm dedicated and honoured to walking alongside you on your path.

When I'm not in the counsellor's seat, you can always find me: diving deep into a book, listening to podcasts, riding my bike, cooking, painting or anything creative, singing and dancing my heart out, and enjoying any moments of sunshine.

Some books that changed my life and inspire my practice:

Waking the Tiger by Peter Levine

The Four Agreements (and all books) by Don Miguel Ruiz

The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle

The Untethered Soul by Michael Singer

Healing Our Deepest Wounds: The Holotropic Paradigm Shift & The Stormy Search for the Self: A Guide to Personal Growth through Transformational Crisis (and others) by Stanislav & Christina Grof

Endless gratitude to these (and many other) teachers!
